東京観光下調べ ~通訳~

知り合いのツテで翻訳の仕事をもらえるかもしれなくなりました!
YES!

The main entrance of Senso-ji temple. First, it was built in 942 A.D. In the Edo period (1603-1867) it was destroyed by fire 3 times. Konosuke Matsushita, the founder of Panasonic co., recovered from a sickness by praying in Senso-ji temple. Then he built the new gate as a token of gratitude in 1960. The proper name of the gate is 'Fujin Raijin Gate' because the God of wind (Fujin) and the God of thunder (Raijin) are enshrined in it.
★仲見世:The No.1 souvenir street of Japan
★宝蔵門:It was built in 942 AD, and since the two-Deva-kings(仁王) statues were enshrined, it was called the Deva gate. The present gate is contributed by Mr. Otani U.S. Taro (Hotel New Otani founder) in 1964. A storehouse is made at the time of reconstruction, and since temple treasure(寺宝) was collected, it is called Hozomon.
★巨大わらじ:a giant straw sandale: evil spirit is afraid and goes away.
★本堂前:The place to purify the body and mind by the scent & clean water.
★観音堂:The statue of the Goddes of Kannon is enshrined here. The statue has never been exposed to the public, even the resident priest is not permitted to see it.
★五重塔:pagoda.. First built in 942 B.C., the pagoda has been destroyed by fire and rebuilt several times. The presenet building was built in 1973, and it now stands on the opposite side. *There is an underground passage from Kannon-Do to the pagoda. Staff use this passage when in a rush.
★弁天山:There is a bell which tells the time to the people. Every 6 O'clock in the morning & New Years Eve.
★雷おこし:the tradition confectionery of Asakusa., A good-luck article of "starting a house" and "causing a name"
★人形焼き:cake filled with bean jam
★せんべい:rice cracker
両国
★両国国技館:The grand sumo tournament is performed here in January, May, September.
*Sumo: In March: Osaka. In July: Nagoya. In November: Kyusyu. Ticket: around \10,000/person

★もんじゃ焼き:Moji means character. When burning this, people played by writing the character.
So it was called Moji-Yaki. →Monjya Yaki
